Exciting News!

Earlier this week, my boss (the Pastor of the Communications Dept.) offered me a full-time, paid position!
I took a few days to think & pray over it, and decided to accept it this morning!

My official title will be the "Communications Team Ministry Assistant." I'll be doing a lot of promotions consulting for our various ministries helping them decide how to best promote their events; I get to plan some large events (I wanted to get into event planning eventually!); I'll be helping out with the overall production of our weekend services (sweet earpiece involved! ;) ; and I will be handling alot of our online informational church database. Pretty much, for starting out, this is my dream job! I couldn't ask for a better work environment or people to work with!
Everyone at the church that I've been working with thus far is really excited to have me for more than just the summer, and I am more than excited to experience Fort Collins for more than just a summer! :) We also have a great need for some hands-on help with promotions and events so it feels SO good to know I am filling a big need for our church right now! My heart has always loved taking stress off of people and I am a nurturer so if I have an opportunity to help out somehow to fix something, I will! This is definitely one of those opportunities!

I really can't believe how things have worked out in only a month! Actually I can because God is behind it all, it just feels sort of surreal to me because I really am getting to live my dream! :)

I'm headed to Iowa with my grandparents tonight for the Pridey Family Reunion. This is the first one we've ever done with my Dad's immediate family so I'm pretty excited. I haven't seen some of my family for about 5 years so it is long overdue for some quality time together! It's nice to have my grandparents so close as well to be able to travel with them!
