Not much is new in my life, which some would envy I suppose.
Day-to-day life is pretty consistent - go to work, have some kind of activity 2-3 nights of the week (Saturdays are spent working) and take some time to enjoy the beautiful weather that graces this lovely state on a pretty regular basis. :)
Things to look forward to within the next few months - after Easter weekend I will no longer be working weekends. This transition comes at a pretty good time since Mom, Dad and my lil' sis will be out here for a good chunk of the summer - yet another thing to look forward to. My best friend from college & her roommate will both hopefully be visiting for a week in mid-June. I'm excited to have them see how life is for me here. Said best friend also told me this week that she's considering moving here if she can find a good teaching opportunity - this makes me VERY excited and happy. :)
More about the job transition - my boss asked me about a month ago to consider leaving my role on the weekends to become the manager of our online database. This was not something I ever saw myself doing, but it is THE communication tool we use at work and is in desperate need of someone to really oversee how our staff, volunteers, and congregation utilize it. It's all about details so that fits me well. It's also giving me an opportunity to stretch myself in areas like teaching and training others. I also couldn't really pass up an opportunity to have more time to head up to the mountains to spend time with my Dad's parents and to relax after a long week.
Tomorrow marks 10 MONTHS since I moved here. May 19 marks ONE YEAR! Crazy how the time has gone by...
Much love.
