Oofta! It's hot out there!

Hey Friends :)
As I'm sure most of you can also identify with in other parts of the country, it's been a very hot week here in Fort Collins!
We've been in the mid-90's most of the week, but -one of the best things about CO- there's really been 0 to little humidity!
It's great to take an evening walk when it's 85 degrees out & be able to enjoy it because we're not sweating our clothes off! :)

I hope you had a wonderful 4th of July & found some time to enjoy being with family and/or good friends.
I went out to Lake Loveland with a few girlfriends of mine here & spent the later part of the afternoon and evening out on the lake, tubing and being on the jet ski. (I had a pretty sweet wipeout on the jet ski which if I had on video, we would all die laughing & my father and brothers would be very proud.) - Let's just say I was glad I was wearing a one-piece swimsuit, otherwise I would've spent the rest of the day in the lake! :) The fireworks were ginormous and fun to watch. My Grandpa & I recently reminisced about a past 4th-of-July when I was the ripe young age of 4 and he had to take me to the car far enough away because I was screaming hysterically from fright of the loud booms. Thankfully, I have come a long way, my friends, a LONG way. :)

Not much else has been going on for me...oh! except for the fact that I am officially a career woman now! I had my first day as official full-time staff here at the church last Sunday, and I have to admit it feels VERY nice to have an official place and a secure job for however long the Lord lets me stay here. Not much to transition to other than a new office next week, and a bit more work during the week, but I enjoy being here, so it doesn't always feel like work.

I hope you are doing well and finding small and large ways to enjoy the summer and stay cool!

You are missed!
Much Love,
