An eventful first day as an intern

As I'm sure you probably heard on your local or national news yesterday, we had some pretty intense weather here in Northern Colorado. The massive tornado that hit Windsor, CO passed north of Fort Collins here. I believe Windsor is about 30 minutes east of here from the conversations we were all having here at work yesterday. Many people in the church congregation live in Windsor and some of our staff had their cars totalled from the baseball-size hail that hit the area.
We had some fierce winds, heavy rain, and small marble sized hail, but thankfully there wasn't any damage done to any of our cars or the building.
With all the big, beautiful windows here in the church we were able to watch the ugly storm clouds moving and swirling around us. Like I said, nothing touched down here thankfully, but we were all prepared to head to a safe spot in the building if needed.

Your prayers would be appreciated for the people in the Windsor area and those that received damage to their homes. There were also several large agricultural businesses that were wiped out to the point where they can't even plan for rebuilding. The recovery process will be slow, but more than anything, a lot of the people here are stunned that this happened here (& so close to the mountains) because tornadoes don't occur regularly, if ever, here because of the climate. It caught everyone off guard for sure.

So, I am thankful that everyone I know is safe and well, and the Lord has brought a beautiful new morning. :)

Hope you are well.

Much love,
